Rwanda to reopen airports amid COVID-19, this is scheduled on the 01st August 2020. Authorities made this public announcement of reopening Rwanda airports on the 04th of July 2020 thought the ministry in charge of infrastructure in Rwanda.
The reopening of airports in Rwanda amid Covid -19 by 01st August is a measure taken to facilitate the recovery of tourism in the country however, passenger safety is considered with the highest priority. The letter is quoted to highlight as below.Book Now
“Rwanda’s airport will reopen for scheduled commercial flight operation on 1st August 2020. To ensure safety and health of passengers, crews and staff, airport operations will adhere to guidelines developed by the Ministry of Health and the recommendations of ICAO Council on Aviation recovery Task-force.
All passengers, including those in transit, will be required to show proof of Covid-19 PCR negative test from a certified laboratory, taken within 72 hours of arriving in Rwanda. For passengers entering Rwanda, a second PCR test will be conducted upon arrival, with results delivered in 24 hours during which time they will remain in designated hotels at own cost.
Any further updates will be communicated as the situation develops”.
