In order to apply for this service one should have booked a permit or advance booked a permit. If the Rwanda gorilla trekking permit is advance booked, at the time of transferring, the applicant has to pay the remaining fee. Transfer is allowed once only and should be done 30 days before visit date.
The transfer of Rwanda gorilla trekking permit entails changing the permit from one individual to another and not changing the dates.
This cannot be done if it is from foreigner to East African Citizen or resident and vice versa. This can only be transferred to guests of the same travel status.

Reschedule of Rwanda Gorilla Permit
The Rescheduling of permit entails changing the travel dates and these dates can only be changed within the same year and not to the next year. The fee to reschedule is 20% of the permit fee.
You will require the permit number or booking reference number to start process of rescheduling your Rwanda gorilla permit.
Reschedule expired gorilla permit due to unforeseen circumstances
This service is available to Tourists who were unable to visit the products due to unforeseen circumstances. Tourists are able to apply for rescheduling of their expired gorilla permit. They need to attach documentary evidence of the unforeseen circumstances that led to them missing the visit date. The decision to grant a renewal is solely left to the discretion of the Rwanda Development Board. There is no appeal in case reasons for expiry of permit are deemed invalid.
The processing time takes 15 days and to start process you will require a permit number.
Application for personalized gorilla trekking package
This is US$15,000 per Gorilla permit and the guests get to choose the time they would like to trek Gorillas, the trekking is exclusive and they can be briefed from their accommodation by the rangers before the trekking. They can also spend a more time with the Gorillas.
Gorilla trekking in Uganda is only possible in Bwindi Forest National park and Mgahinga National Park. A tourist visiting the gorilla must have a trekking permit too. The cost of a Uganda gorilla permit is US$ 600 and come July 2020, the cost of a gorilla trekking permit will move to US$ 700
